The issue that really matters to me is giving a voice to the voiceless. This group includes the poor and the youthful youth. I became aware about this through my work as a journalist as most of the issues that are being covered by the media concern people that are already in the limelight and leave out the grassroots. Yes, I think that TakingITGlobal has given me an opportunity to network with various youth globally, and to gain a better understanding of what is happening internationally. As well I believe that TIG can do even more in terms of creating an inclusive environment for young people to network, gather ideas, and reflect upon their personal challenges, especially with regards to youth in Africa.
